International Travel

International travel is often critical to the work done at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. The UT travel registry is an important tool that helps the university track where our travelers are in the world, enabling us to better support you during emergencies abroad.

Student travel

Register travel

All students traveling abroad with UT support must register their travel for academic credit or sponsored non-credit programs.

Travel policy exceptions

Any UT student, whether undergraduate, graduate, or professional, traveling to a destination under a US State Department Travel Advisory of 3 or higher must apply for an exception.

Our faculty and staff have tremendous opportunities to foster global awareness and academic, personal, and professional growth through a broad range of learning experiences outside the United States, including study, internships, research, and service.
