GRIP

Global Research, Innovation, and Partnerships (GRIP) serves to identify, establish, and strengthen connections with international partners across higher education, industry, and government.

Global Risk

Since 1978, the English Language Institute has provided language programs and courses for prospective University of Tennessee students, visitors, and professionals.

International Research Network

Immigration sponsorship led by the ISSS office connects UT to a global research network of 337 institutions across 51 countries. This includes 43 of the top 100-ranked institutions in the world.

During academic year 2025, a record 2,072 students participated in study abroad programming across more than 100 locations.

During 2024 and 2025, 60 percent of articles published by UT faculty included international collaborators.

International students at UT provide a direct benefit to the State of Tennessee, contributing 54.1 million dollars to the economy and supporting 555 jobs.

On-Campus Engagement

During the academic year 2025, more than 5,700 participants joined in programming at the International House, including 2,635 unique participants.
