About UT Global
Reporting directly to the Office of the Provost, the Division of Global Engagement leads, coordinates, and supports the university’s strategies for global education, research, and engagement.

With a staff numbering more than 35 individuals, UT Global is organized into six major units:
Gretchen Neisler, PhD
Gretchen Neisler, Vice Provost for Global Affairs and Director of the Division of Global Engagement, serves as the chief international officer for the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. As vice provost, Neisler oversees, leads, coordinates, and supports the university’s strategies for global education, research, and engagement. She has a bachelor’s degree in animal science, a master’s degree in agriculture extension education, and a doctorate in higher education administration, all from Michigan State University.
